Kent is a partner of Lynn Pham & Ross, LLP. For over 20 years, he has helped employers avoid and resolve disputes with their employees and has a remarkable record of success, particularly in litigation and arbitration. He has tried many employment law cases to verdict on behalf of management all over Texas and is proud to say that only once in his career has judgment been entered against one of his clients, and it was reversed on appeal.
Kent is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and currently serves on the Labor and Employment Law Certification Exam Committee, which is the group that develops and grades the tests given to other attorneys who are seeking to become board certified. He is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, an honor that is limited to 1/3 of 1% of Texas attorneys in any given year. He has been named as a Texas Super Lawyer by Law & Politics Magazine in 2009 and has been listed in Fort Worth Magazine’s attorney rankings as one of the top management labor and employment attorneys in the area every year since 2003. Kent is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, Fifth Circuit and Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. He practices exclusively in management labor and employment law, representing employers in both the public and private sectors. Kent is also active in both professional and community organizations. He has served as Chairman of the Tarrant County Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section and President of the Fort Worth Human Resource Management Association. He is also a member of the Human Resource Advisory Committee for the Amon Carter, Jr. Downtown YMCA. Kent is an elder for the Southside Church of Christ and served on the Board of Trustees for Fort Worth Christian School from 2002 to 2010. He and his wife Joan, are the proud parents of three children, Clayton, Brynn, and Paul.
